INFRACOMS Project: Advancing Road Asset Condition Monitoring for European NRAs

The INFRACOMS project was initiated by the Conference of European Directors of Roads (CEDR) to address a fundamental and growing challenge faced by National Road Authorities (NRAs) across Europe: How can the increasing amounts of data generated by modern sensor technologies be effectively utilised for infrastructure condition monitoring and asset management? These data streams come from a variety of sources, including advanced remote sensing platforms, IoT sensors embedded in pavements and structures, crowdsourced input from road users and increasingly sophisticated data analysis and visualisation tools.
